Northcott Family Fun!

I recently travelled to Merino to photograph the gorgeous, fun, quirky and divine Northcott family!  I have photographed this family before a few years ago, so it was lovely seeing them all again.  The weather was quite cool, but the sun shone and it didn't stop the fun on their beautiful farm.  Thank you to Karla, 'Norgs' and the girls for making my job so easy and so much fun!  (Karla is also a local photographer who will be photographing MY little family soon, too!)

The Hundred-Foot Journey

Last week, Rob and I had a date night!  It's a little few and far between these day with two girls, but when we go out we always have such a gorgeous time and lots of laughs!  Last week, we went out for a casual dinner and to see a movie.  When Rob discovered I was taking him to see The Hundred-Foot Foot Journey starring Helen Mirren, he was a little sceptical.  However, ten minutes into the film, I glanced over to him and the look on his face said it all!  This movie is absolutely divine.  The casting, the costumes, the sets, the direction, the scenery.  It's all flawless.  If you haven't seen it, please do!  Especially if you're like me and enjoy cooking.  Just make sure you eat BEFORE the movie and don't do what we did and sit and drool over the delicious food in the movie with empty stomachs!  (Rob is taking his mother to see it again later this week!)

A few weeks ago, I worked with Mel Von Stanke at Vanity Make-Up Bar and Body Lounge for a bridal-themed hair and make up shoot.  It was such a fun day and we all worked so well as a team and created these beautiful images using 4 local girls as models.  Thank you to Mel and her team and the 4 gorgeous gals!

I LOVE to cook.  I love feeling healthy.  I love cookbooks.  So, when I visited Loran Jane the other day for a pair of new training pants, I saw her new cookbook.  After having a flick through it for about .5 of a second, I knew I had to buy it!  This book radiates health from every page and the photography and recipes are divine.  I would highly recommend this book.  It has breakfast, lunch and dinners as weell as snacks, smoothies, juice and nutrition tips.  A very welcome addition to my every-increasing cook book pile!

I have discovered an amazing workout program!  Kayla Itsines is an Adelaide-based Personal Trainer who has put out two workout ebooks as well as a Nutrition Guide.  I purchased her 12 Week Bikini Body Guide 8 weeks ago.  I have lost 6 kilos and feel amazing!  I have always been passionate about health and wellness, however after having babies, I found some problem weight areas were hard to shift!  So, when I heard about Kayla on social media, (@KAYLA_ITSINES) I reasearched her and decided to giver her program a go.  I won't lie, it's not easy, but it's 28 minutes a day and it works! Visit her website for more information: www.kaylaitsines.com.au

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of travelling to Petticoat Lane in Penola to photograph the Withers family.  The beautiful autumn colours were a lovely backdrop and the gorgeous little 'nooks and crannies' in Petticoat Lane were fun to photograph in.    Thank you Johno, Nicola and extended family for making my job so much fun!

A week ago, I travelled to the beautiful seaside town of Robe.  Anna and John wed at the Chapel on the Hill followed by a reception at The Bowls Club.  The weather was absolutely beautiful with the most amazing sunset occurring later in the evening.  Anna and John were the epitome of a couple in love.  It was such a pleasure to photograph their special day as well as meet their beautiful families and friends.  An absolutely stunning wedding to end my season on.  Thank you!  I wish you both a lifetime of happy memories xx
