Hi everyone.  I'm not sure if you know, but I am co-ordinating and hosting a one-day Wellness Seminar in Melbourne on Saturday, May 30th.  This event will see three prominant Australian speakers in their areas of expertise to arm you with the best possible advice and guidance to kick start your wellness journey.  And if you have started, this will serve as inspiration to keep you going on the right path.  It's no secret there is a HUGE worldwide movement of people taking far more interest in their health and well being.  So, I have co-ordinated and sourced the best speakers to talk on all areas of wellness.  From nutrition, to exercise, career, social, spiritual wellness and everything in between!  The day will consist of 3 of Australia's best speakers.  Lola Berry - bestselling author, yoga teacher and nutritionist.  Kate Toholka - success coach, holistic life coach and best selling author.  Stephanie Prem - ex Australain winter Olympian, television sports commentator, pilates instructor and founder of Premium Performance.  And yours truly - author, speaker and life enthusiast.  I will be hosting the event.  The day will see the girls speak for one hour each.  In between one session, Stephanie Prem will take a basic strech/pilates session to get the blood pumping and the concentration back on track!  For morning and afternoon teas, you will feast on delicious, wholesome organic treats lovingly made for you by the team at My Goodness Organics.  Lunch will be in the form on a substantial, fresh, organic lunch.  You will also be hydtrated by juices, water and herbal teas.  (Sorry, no coffee!  But feel free to bring your own, consume before the event, or there are cafes in walking distance.  I will be having one before hand!).  The location this event will be held at is Two Ton Max in North Melbourne - a stunning warehouse which will be converted into a beautiful, serence space for you to relax, feel loved, nurtured, looked after and most importantly, get you out of your daily chores and forget the outside world for a few hours.  Remember, this day is all about YOU.  The room will be decorated with comfortable chairs for you, fresh flowers and beautiful scented candles from Violet + Rose, (soy candles using only essential oils).  Soft meditation music will be playing throughout the breaks.  Your senses have all been catered for!  The last session will be a forum-style set-up where the girls can answer your questions and have a good discussion session.  In the breaks and before and after the event, you have the chance to meet these gorgeous girls and if you have a copy of Lola's cookbooks, please bring them so she can sign them personally for you!  At the end of the day, a guided meditation will be carried out to relax and unwind after quite a log, but fun day. This will be taken by yours truly.  Sit back and relax and listen to some meditation music while I take you through a guided meditation. On your departure, you will receive  a goodie bag filled with organic products, treats, discount vouchers and more.  This is a great networking event also where you will have the chance to meet like-minded individuals. Feel free to bring a notepad and pen, or just sit and absorb the information.  Please come dressed in activewear, so your body will be comfotable and feel no restrictions.  Please bring a bottle of water.   I would dearly love to see you there and please, bring friends and share the love.  You can order your tickets HERE Thank you and Sat Nam xxx

As you would know if you are a regular reader of my blog, I do a lot of work for the Holiday label.  I had the rather lovely job of photographing a new face for the mens range recently.  Travis Boak is the Captain of the Port Adelaide Australian Rules Football Team.  I can only show you two photos as the moment, but stay tuned later in the year for more!  A rather nice day at the office!

My Favourite Gown at This Years' Oscars

Yes, it was that time of year again on Monday - The Oscars.  The one night of the year I have complete control of the television remote!  Of course, it is all to recognise the brilliance of everyone involved in movie making.  However let's face it, all eyes are on the gowns and jewellery of the ladies.  (Well, that's what I look for anyway!)  My favourite gown this year was worn by Gwyneth Paltrow.  She actually received a few 'worst dressed' nominations, but I don't agrree.  I thought it was elegant, a bit of fun, a stunning colour and fitted her shape beautifully.  Absolutely gorgeous...

I had the absolute pleasure of photoraphing the wedding of Bo and Scott last Saturday.  I have known Bo and Scott for quite some time, so it was so lovely to be given the opportunity of photographing their wedding.  The ceremony and reception were held at The Barn.  The trees provided some lovely shde and cool from the 39 degree day.  They were the picture of love and I wish them every happiness in their future together.  Thank you to The Flower Shop, Mount Gambier for the beautiful flowers and Kristy Noble for the girls' stunning make up. xx

Last month, we had the pleasure of having Nadine, a gorgeous German traveller stay with us at the farm.  I asked her if I could take some portraits of her as she had such a beautiful presence.  We headed out onto the farm to a secluded spot where the sun was setting and the light was amazing.  Below are just a few of the photographs we took...

Jane and Chris' Country Wedding

A couple of weeks ago, I travelled South of Mount Gambier to photograph the wedding of Jane and Chris at Jane's parents property.  The morning was hot, but soon the rain came down.  However, it didn't dampen the spirits of the couple, their families or friends.  The day was relaxed and filled with love and laughter.  Their property was transformed into a wedding 'oasis'.  The marquee which held the reception was absolutely stunning complete with an 8 piece band and fresh flowers as far as the eye could see.  I want to thank Jane, Chris and their families for making the day so easy to capture.

Last week, I travelled to the seaside town of Robe.  The evening was stunning - blue skies, crystal waters, 28 degrees and a really fun family!  I 'met' Hayley via social media, so it was so lovely to meet her and her gorgeous family in person.  Thank you to Hayley, Paul and their gorgeous children for making my job so much fun.  And thank you for all the laughs! xx

Rachael and Steven's NYE Wedding

On New Years' Eve, I photographed a beautiful wedding held at The Royal Mail Hotal, Dunkeld.  The ceremony took place under a beautiful gum tree which served as a stunning shelter from the afternoon sun.  We then travelled around the property to capture images, followed by a sit-down-dinner reception held on the grass area outside the iconic homestead, overlooked by Mount Sturgeon.  The weather was perfect and it was a fun, relaxed afternoon/evening watched on by friends and family close to the couple.  A huge congratulation to both Rachael and Steven! xx

This weekend just passed, I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jane and Chris.  The couple exchanged vows at theproperty of her parents south of Mount Gambier.  The morning was hot and humid and the sun was beaming, however it soon cooled down and then the rain started to sprinkle.  But it didn't dampen the spirits or mood of the day.  Jane and Chris were all smailes as were their families and guests.  Their reception was in a marquee also on the property.  Thank you to Jane, Chris and their families and friends and I wish them all the happiness in their future together!

I am SO excited to be co-ordinating and hosting a four-week wellness seminar to be help at The Barn in the Oaktree Room in February, 2015.  I came up with the idea earlier this year.  I desperately wanted to visit Melbourne for the Body, Mind and Soul Expo and when I didn't make it, I wasn't happy!  It got me thinking about seminars, expos, talks etc.  As you would know if you are a regular reader of my blog or follow me on Instagram (@joannafincham) I am passionate about good health and wellness.  Next year, I am studying online through the Institure of Integretive Nutrition in New York to become a qualified Health and Wellness Coach.  So, I was toying with the idea of putting on a seminar here to help guide others to their maximum health and wellness.  I was going to ask local people in the wellness arena to talk, but then thought, why don't I co-ordinate an event that country-based poeple would have to travel to the cities for and bring it here!  So, I have!  I have sourced the best speakers in all areas of wellness from around Australia to come here and speak to you.  Lola Berry, Kate Toholka, Stephanie Prem and myself will help guide you to start your wellness journey.  Or, if you have already started, this will serve as wonderful inspiration to keep you going.  Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Monday, 15th December) at Chapmans Newsagency for $375.00.  This is for the full four weeks.  Healthy, locally made snacks will be provided as well as many more surpises and goodies along the way.  I can't give too much away!  Seats are strictly limited to 80, so get in quick.  I would LOVE to see you there...  Namaste xxxx  (A huge thank you to my sponsors - Active8 Gym,  Ecologie Organics, Fuss Wellness Spa, She's Apples and The Commodore on the Park).  For more information, please visit my Wellness page on Facebook, The Well Nest with Joanna Fincham

Thank you to The Border Watch, (Friday 12th December, 2104).
