Today, I have been sitting in front of my computer editing weddings, when I suddenly had the urge to make a cake. Or was it to eat a cake? I dug out my Women's Weekly fail-safe tea cake recipe, but added a little something to it. I added half a cup of raspberries and half a cup of dessicated coconut. I made sure to pop just a little extra milk and butter in there to compensate for the extra dry ingredients. I also subtracted the cinnamon completely. It was lovely with my chai latte! And not to mention a nice break from work...

On my return to the house this afternoon from photographing family portraits, I had a craving for the mixture of sweet and salty. Remember how good it was when you were little to eat chips and then chocolate straight after?! I looked in my fridge and I have always loved the combination of prosciutto and melon. It's delicious also with watermelon. Watermelon with fetta, mint and balsamic vinegar is a lovely combination, too!

I had the pleasure today of photographing the Strachan family at our farm. With both families living in different states, it was a rare opportunity they have together. It was such a lovely, relaxed afternoon and their close family bond was obvious. Thank you to all of you and especially to the children who were so well behaved and lots of fun!

You will notice my blog has taken a little bit of a different turn! Don't fear - the usual topics are on there! But as you know, I am a foodie. I love cooking, trying new things, reading culinary magazines and books, entertaining and of course, styling and photographing food! I am a little obsessed with food blogs at the moment, so I thought I would put my usual recipes I love on here from magazines, but photograph them myself instead of scanning them from magazines. Enjoy!

The other night, I wanted to make something easy as it was a hot night. 40 degrees says to me, either a salad or the likes of. I was looking through Delicious magazine when I found this recipe. They were so easy to make and tomorrow I am making them to go in wraps to take on a picnic after Darcy's swimming lesson! They would be scrummy also to have with drinks before a dinner party...

With so many beautiful gowns on the red carpet for the Oscars 2012, it was hard to find just a few favourites. But below are my favourite gowns...

Emma Stone looked stunning in vivid red

This could almost be my favourite. Gwyneth Paltrow in cream

Cameron Diaz, stunning in beige

I personally love colour, but Rose Byrne looked amazing in black
Do you ever have a craving for something and you simply must have it? Today, mine was prosciutto. I made my way to my gourmet deli in town and bought some freshly cut prosciutto. I made a salad of mixed rocket, celery, cherry tomato, yellow capsicum, raddish, cucumber and of course, Prosciutto. I also added a little something different which was delicious. Dried cranberries. It added a beautiful burst of sweetness. I dressed it only with lemon juice. It was delicious!

On a recent trip to Sydney, I photographed portraits of Kelly Connolly for her website, www.connollycommunications.com.au. If Kelly looks familiar, she was a newsreader for many years on the nine network, worked as a reporter on A Current Affair and Money, as well as co host of the Today show and continues a successful career in journalism today. It was a lovely, relaxed sitting which shows in the photos. Thank you Kelly!

It's 40 degrees today and what better way to tackle the hot weather than with a freshly squeezed fruit juice? I juiced oranges, watermelon, apples, beetroot and 1 lemon with the skin on. It gives the juice a lovely zest!
